Georgian recently received funding to offer the Access to Apprenticeship program through the Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities.
The College started running the program early in June at the Barrie Campus with the support of the Simcoe County District School Board and CONTACT-South Simcoe Community Information Centre, a non-profit charity organization that provides community-focused services to residents of South Simcoe. A $500,000 donation to Georgian College’s Centre for Health and Wellness from the Midland-based Weber Foundation was announced April 22 at Donor Meritorious, the inaugural dinner held by the College to honour major benefactors.
