Laid off? Looking for a new career? Georgian offers many programs through Second Career for unemployed and underemployed workers.

Second CareerThe program will help unemployed workers who commit to a training plan make the transition to new careers in growing areas of the economy. Second Career can help an applicant with the cost of tuition, books, living expenses, and other costs associated with the training to build skills for a new career. Other Employment Ontario programs like Skills Development also provide support for training.

Communication Placement Assessment (CPA)

Applicants who are 19 years of age or over by the first day of classes, and who lack the academic admission qualifications, may be considered for entrance as mature students. Each applicant will be considered on an individual basis and acceptance will be determined by counselling, Communication Placement Assessment (CPA), previous post-secondary education and evaluation of experience. Some programs also have specific prerequisite requirements that must be met prior to admission. Mature applicants must meet all program specific prerequisites.

How do I apply for a full time Georgian College Program?

Students applying to full-time studies at Georgian College must submit a completed application to the Ontario College Application Services (OCAS). There is an application fee payable to OCAS. Applications may be submitted online at http://www.ontariocolleges.ca or can be mailed to:
